History Behind The Show:

The Birmingham Automobile Dealers Association is a membership-based group of all the new car dealers in Jefferson and Shelby counties. In the early 1930s, the new automobile dealers of Birmingham recognized the need for an organization that would serve as a liaison between themselves and the car-buying public in this area. Their goal was to create a new automobile organization that would be a concerned, active corporate citizen working to benefit the entire community. That idea became what is now the Birmingham Automobile Dealers Association (BADA). The vision of the BADA is to support its membership through legislative and industry representation, educational programs and communications, and community relations activities. The BADA members support their communities through charitable organizations and activities that assist children and youth. The mission of the BADA is to focus on these key areas:

Community And Governmental Relations – BADA is the voice of new automobile dealers in the Jefferson and Shelby County markets. The staff of BADA will stay current on industry issues and involved in community efforts to promote the automobile dealers in the most positive light. We will build and maintain positive relationships with governmental officials, automobile industry contacts, and the media.

Charitable Giving – BADA will coordinate all efforts of the Alabama Auto Show on an annual basis as the primary event. The staff and memberships will continue to develop other fundraising events, including the Auto Charity Golf Tournament, to increase opportunities for charitable contributions to children’s charity organizations in the Jefferson and Shelby County area.
